This weekend approximately 10 Overton firefighters are participating in an extrication Tech 1 being put on by Teex through Rusk Co.ESD at Griffiths Towing in Henderson, TX. We are thankful to our city manager and city council for helping make this happen. Overton VFD is working and training hard to make our community a better place to live.

Yesterday, these young men graduated from the Kilgore College Fire Academy by completing firefighter 1 and 2, hazmat awareness and operations.These are just some of the things they do to serve and protect our community spending their time to make Overton a better place to live and work.
