Band of Angels

Band of Angels is a 501 (c)(3) that provides instruments & music camp scholarships to children. Unrepairable instruments are repurposed to benefit our programs.

Band of Angels is a 501c3 Charity that collects music instruments and provides them to children in need for free so they can join band and orchestra programs. We also provide scholarships for area children to attend summer music camp. Donated instruments are refurbished and restored before given to a child. We accept monetary and instrument donations, as well as run fundraising events such as the Heart Strings Gala charity concert and Art That Blows, a charity art auction.

Happy Monday from our team! We are excited to share that three lovely instruments are finding their new homes with our students today! These previously donated treasures will bring joy and inspiration to their new students, helping them create wonderful music and memories.

Their story is so special to us because we have upgraded them from a previous 3/4 Cello to a better-fitting, full-size instrument!

This is the beauty of being a part of BOA, watching these kids grow and thrive. Not only with their instruments but also as musicians and as people.

$83,536.72!!! 2026 BOA Rock Stars are RECORD BREAKERS🐐🐐🐐

This year's class of Rock Stars generated $83,536.72 in donations, ticket sales, and sponsorships. Including art purchases, they made a complete community impact of $92,077.72. We are beyond thankful for all their hard work to support our student musicians🏆

Drumming up some gigs🥁🐐

Last night, former Band of Angels student AND summer intern Jabari Cambridge Jr. rocked a gig at the Uptown Lounge in KC. Cambridge Jr. studies music at Berklee College of Music in Boston- and it's clear his talent is booming. We are beyond proud!

Nothing says "best week ever" quite like going home with a cello.

We are still cello-brating this awesome moment where we got to present a student with a beautiful step-up cello while he was attending Mark Wood's Rock Orchestra Camp this summer. Founder Mark Wood played a special part in the presentation. In addition, Band of Angels was able to send SIX students to Mark Wood's Rock Orchestra Camp through our Camp Scholarship program.
