🔓💡 Innovation Unlocked at the Linwood Y Teen Tech Center

On June 6, community members, partners, and supporters gathered to celebrate the grand opening of our new Teen Tech Center with a ribbon-cutting and open house.

This space is built to spark creativity, build confidence, and give teens hands-on experience with the tools shaping tomorrow. From 3D printing and robotics to gaming and digital creation, young people can now turn curiosity into real-world skills.

The celebration included a proclamation from Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks-Shaw , recognizing the impact this new space will have on youth in our community.

A special thank you to T-Mobile and GFiber, whose support helped make this vision a reality. Together, we're creating opportunities for the next generation to learn, explore, and thrive. 💙

The results are in! Congrats to the KC Heat - Girls Flag Football - Public, your 2026 tournament champions, and to Adelaide Brozek, this year's MVP Scholarship recipient! 🏆🏅

This year, 14 teams took the field at Ottawa University for a great day of competition and growth for female flag football.

Thank you to all players, coaches, families, and supporters who made the day possible!
