It is going to be a BOO-tiful Saturday in Downtown Overland Park as 30+ shops and businesses await Trick-or-Treaters to visit! Start at the clock tower for your maps, then head to the live DJ to monster mash with. Discover O.P. will be waiting. Join the fun from 2-4 pm. Happy Halloween!

Discover O.P. is one of the many downtown businesses participating in tomorrow's Trick or Treat event. Stop by 8001 Santa Fe Drive with your little ghosts and goblins between 2 and 4 p.m. We always love seeing the kids and their creative costumes each year!

The Overland Park Historical Society would like to thank our City Council, through an official proclamation, in designating October as National Arts and Humanities Month.
City of Overland Park:

Discover O.P. and our Book Club are recipients. Grants, corporate sponsors, and individual donors are the heartbeat of every cultural non-profit. Overland Park is a better community because it supports our cultural and arts endeavors. This October, and throughout the year, make a note to visit Discover O.P. and the bounty of sites which spawn your intellect and imagination.

Thank you! Thank You! Thank you to all who stopped by Discover O.P. yesterday. The fire truck was a big hit with our younger ones, and the enthusiasm for the exhibit inside met with a great response. OPHS would like to thank the OPFD for bringing the truck to our facility. Good things continue to happen!

Happy Saturday! Bundle up, grab your market goodies, and bring your young ones today, as we will be extending our exhibit focused on First Responders, with an OPFD fire truck parked outside Discover O.P. Join us beginning at 9 am, and our little historians can enjoy the LEGO tables inside and receive a fireman's hat to take home. A perfect day to explore Downtown Overland Park, Overland Park Farmers Market and Discover O.P.

Hey friends, if you visit the Farmer's Market this Saturday, October 17, please stop by Discover O.P. between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and check out our special exhibit on the history of the Overland Park Fire and Police Departments. As an extra attraction, we will have a fire truck parked in our north parking lot between 10 a.m. and noon, and we will be giving away free junior fire helmets to our younger guests! Come inside to see some really interesting technological artifacts spanning the past 50 years as well. There is no admission fee to enjoy this limited-time exhibit! Discover O.P. is located at 8001 Santa Fe Drive in the very Heart of Downtown O.P.
