This exhibition is in partnership with the Gift of Troost Collective, a group of Kansas City Black artists. Join us for a Juneteenth opening reception.
“Let Me Introduce Myself” invites Black artists to select up to 3 individual words that describe them and chow work that represents each of those words. Together, the works form a visual introduction—authentic, personal, and reflective of the diversity and power within The Gift of Troost and among Black artists in our area.
This exhibition is more than a showcase—it is a statement.
A chance for us to define ourselves, our work, and our impact on our own terms, and to introduce Kansas City to the collective as a unified creative force.
The show opens June 19th and closes July 16th, but will be up through July 30th 2026.

Call for artists! This Is Permanent is an exhibition celebrating the talent, skill, and importance of tattoo artists and tattoo as an art form. Cultures worldwide and throughout history have used tattoos and skin adornment to reflect self expression, personal and cultural identity, achievement, rights of passage, belonging, beauty ideals, rebellion, worldview, creativity, and so many other aspects of human existence. The same can be said for every art form, so we want to know: As a tattoo artist or an artist with tattoo-adjacent art, how does your practice translate onto the gallery wall? Does that mean framed work, use of ink, examination of your tools of the trade, or writing? It could also mean dance, spoken word, or other forms of performance. However you come to it, we want to see it on our walls or in our space. Apply on our website, 🔗 in bio

Eat well and exercise. That's the classic advice for living a long, healthy life. A new study suggests another habit to add to the list: Let your creative juices flow.
