We encourage you to ask questions and share information. When posting, please use appropriate language.

The HES PTO is a non-profit organization consisting of parents, teachers and administrators who work to build community, enhance students learning experiences, and create funding for additional school resources. Purpose: The purpose of our page is to provide an online community for parents and families at Harmony Elementary School in Overland Park, KS. Goal: Our goal is to share informati

on and tips, update the community on events and programs, and showcase the achievements of students, teachers, parents, and other community members. We request that you keep discussions focused directly concerning our school community. We encourage posts that highlight our community’s accomplishments and constructively raise issues for discussion. Children can see our page (or group). If you choose, you can post photos of your children at school events. Do not post photos of other children. If you have any questions about posting a particular photo, please check with the page administrators (Whitney Johnson President, Malinda O'Hara VP Programs and Services). Do not post about concerns, problems, or conflicts with individual teachers, administrators, students, or parents. We will immediately delete posts that in any way put down or discriminate against individuals. Online threats will be taken seriously, and proper authorities will be immediately notified. Do not post information commonly understood as confidential, such as student grades. Any inflammatory statements that make allegations against individuals or organizations will be deleted. Keep in mind what you post is public information. Any advertising for businesses is not allowed. Do not publish content as your own that has been created by others. The PTO board and PTO Facebook administrators reserve the right to delete comments and block users who are not following the rules stated above.

The Fall Festival is back at Harmony Elementary School, and we can’t wait to see you there. “Color Me Harmony” will be held at the HES playground and walk and talk track on August 28, from 6pm to 8pm. This event is free for all HES families, and includes games and activities, food and drinks, a DJ, and concludes with a color walk at 7:45pm.

If you want to participate in the color walk, make sure you wear white and/or a tshirt that is ok to get splashed with chalk!

The PTO Family Events committee will be collecting coloring supplies to donate to Project Breakthrough in Kansas City. Please bring a donation of crayons, markers, or colored pencils to help make the world of another child bright!
