Seeing each other every week at rehearsals turns friendships into lifelong bonds. Our monthly potluck turned into a cookout/ yard day. The day filled with music and laughter watching the kids play with over 400 water balloons.

It is always a joy to perform with Rondalla Club of LA. The relationship between the groups has a span of almost 30 years. The dancers love having the opportunity to dance with live music.

It is always a great time to come together outside of rehearsals just to have fun! We had the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the international heat during the Dragon Boat races last weekend. Happy to say we did not tip the boat and can't wait to come back next year!

Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated Fiesta Filipina 2024 with us. This event is held at our home at the Filipino Association of Greater Kansas City cultural center, where we share our dances and food. Hope you see you next year!

Come see the Sinag-Tala Dance Troupe perform the Ifugao—just a small part of the entertainment we have planned for you at this year’s Fiesta Filipina. And make sure to say “Hi” to Rosanna Paat, a long-time dance troupe member.

The Fiesta is only ten days away! Saturday, June 8. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Filipino Cultural Center, 9810 W. 79th St., in Overland Park, KS. Parking and admission is free.

What a night to celebrate culture and heritage through fashion! Heartland International Fashion Week LLC season 4 was this past week and we had the privilege to be apart of this magnificent showcase. The Philippines was represented through traditional terno dresses that walked the runway and we finished our segment with 2 dances.
