Residents enjoyed an afternoon of arranging fresh flowers, mixing vibrant colors and unique blooms to create one-of-a-kind bouquets. From bright summer hues to delicate seasonal blossoms, each arrangement reflected the creativity and personality of its designer.

Our Independent Living residents put their puzzle-solving skills to the test with a lively game of Wheel of Fortune in honor of National Game Show Day last week!

From guessing letters to celebrating big wins, there were plenty of laughs, friendly competition, and memorable moments shared among friends. It's always exciting to bring classic games to life and create opportunities for connection, engagement, and a little healthy competition.

On weekends, Donna Joseph and Ken Lerner keep up their swimming routine at Village Shalom. Regular exercise helps support strength, mobility, heart health, and overall wellness—and it’s even better when shared with a friend.

At Village Shalom, a nonprofit senior living community serving the Kansas City area, residents enjoy opportunities to stay active through fitness programs, aquatic exercise, social activities, and lifelong wellness initiatives.

We're proud to support healthy aging and active senior living by helping residents continue the routines they love.

A heartfelt thank you to Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City and the Jewish Community Legacy Fund for their generous grant to Village Shalom.

Thanks to this grant, we were able to purchase new laptops and desktop computers for staff across our campus, helping improve efficiency, communication, and daily operations. These technology upgrades allow our team to better serve residents and families while ensuring our systems remain secure and reliable.

We are grateful for the Jewish Community Legacy Fund's investment in strengthening the services and care we provide every day. Thank you for helping us continue our mission of serving older adults with dignity, compassion, and excellence.
