Overland Park prospers when businesses invest, innovate and grow here. The Kansas Department of Commerce recognized several of those businesses last week with its annual To the Stars business awards.
The Chamber is proud to have nominated two companies that brought home statewide honors.
WellSky won the statewide award for Business Innovation. WellSky’s technology helps health and community care organizations serve patients and clients better, and this recognition shows the kind of innovation that keeps Overland Park competitive. From AI to employee ownership, employer childcare to bridging industry with education, the topics at our 3rd annual Talent Connect Summit this week at KU Edwards Campus gave HR, education and workforce professionals the opportunity to discuss and learn about resources and best practices for workforce development and talent recruitment.
After a breakfast catered by Burrito Bandito KC, a student-run business from the Shawnee Mission School District Student Chamber, attendees heard from a great lineup of speakers and were inspired by the keynote on creativity and leadership by Mary Messner.
