Chamber President Tracey Lynn Osborne Oltjen joined City of Overland Park, Kansas Government Mayor Curt Skoog, other community leaders and the parents of late Kansas City artist Jeff Hanson to dedicate Growing Kindness, a new, monumental sculpture of stainless-steel poppies at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens.
Inspired by Jeff Hanson Art, the 30-foot sculpture honors Jeff's artwork, kindness and charitable legacy. Before his death at the age of 27 in 2020, Jeff’s art and philanthropic spirit generated more than $7 million for charities across the nation.
The sculpture is meant to remind us that “Every act of kindness helps create kinder communities, more compassionate nations and a better world for all.”

B20 USA 2026 – hosted in the United States for the first time this November – is a forum where global business leaders representing 75% of world trade engage directly with decision-makers to shape policy and advance deals and investment. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen business partnerships that underpin global growth.
We’d like to share a video in which Tracey Lynn Osborne Oltjen, the Chamber’s President & CEO, talks about the importance of participating in this event.
"Workforce challenges. Supply chain disruptions. Our local businesses aren't reading about these issues, they're living them every single day. That boots-on-the-ground perspective is exactly what the global policy conversation needs. Local voices bring that reality to the table at B20 USA this November in Washington, D.C."

The Overland Park Chamber was recognized by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives with an Award for Communications Excellence.
The award was received for All in Overland Park, a website and associated digital marketing the Chamber launched to address regional talent attraction and retention needs. It positions Overland Park as an ideal place to both work and live by showcasing career opportunities, lifestyle amenities and community connections. It features employer storytelling, job search tools, a cost-of-living calculator, relocation resources and SEO-optimized content.
Overland Park has so much to offer, and All in Overland Park was created to help tell that story from every angle, whether someone is looking to live, work, learn, play or invest here.
Judges noted: “This entry was dynamic, engaging and a valuable resource for the community. The website is successfully selling the area from multiple viewpoints. The photos and testimonials from community members are a standout feature, as is the movement and navigation of the site.”
“Building new tools for talent and business attraction is a whole lot easier when you have an incredible community to showcase!” said Izzy Hagen, the Chamber’s Director of Marketing who led the project for the Chamber.
“Something like this takes a lot of collaboration, creativity and expertise behind the scenes, and I’m especially thankful to MBB Agency for their partnership throughout the project, as well as everyone who contributed their time, ideas, stories and talents,” Izzy said.

Congratulations to owners Kevin & Sonia Pruitt and their team on opening Christian Brothers Automotive at 16141 Metcalf Avenue!
After more than 35 years in corporate leadership with some of the nation’s largest retailers, the Pruitts felt called to build a business centered on serving people with honesty, excellence and genuine care. Christian Brothers Automotive was a natural fit because its values closely align with how they believe customers and employees should be treated.
Chamber Senior Vice President Libbey Malberg Tucker helped the Pruitts celebrate with a ribbon cutting ceremony this week.
The Pruitts chose Overland Park because of its strong sense of community, growing families and reputation as a great place to live and work. Their goal is to become a trusted neighbor and provide a better automotive repair experience for the Blue Valley community.
