Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards FSMTB is a non-profit organization of state regulatory boards and agencies that regulate the massage therapy profession.

The Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) is a non-profit organization comprised of state regulatory boards and agencies that regulate the massage therapy profession. The mission of the board of directors and FSMTB is to support our member boards in their work to ensure that the practice of massage therapy is provided to the public in a safe and competent manner. All revenue collected by the organization is used to enhance FSMTB programs, maintain and improve the quality of the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) and provide support to FSMTB Member Boards in fulfilling their responsibility of protecting the public.

We’re excited to offer morning yoga and complimentary chair massage, sponsored by the American Massage Therapy Association - AMTA, at this year’s Annual Meeting!

Chair massage will be provided Thursday and Friday throughout the Annual Meeting by the talented students of the Northwest Career College in Las Vegas, Nevada. Morning yoga will be offered Thursday and Friday morning from 6-6:45 am.

Today we honor the dedication of workers nationwide, including the massage therapists who serve their communities and the FSMTB Member Boards whose commitment to public protection helps support the profession.

In observance of the holiday, the FSMTB office will be closed on Monday, September 7. We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has signed Senate Bill 276, adopting legislation based on an unrelated, significantly different variation of the original interstate massage compact. As a result, Ohio is no longer part of the official IMpact legislative framework already enacted by four states.
