As comes to a close, we want to celebrate the incredible impact our volunteer groups have on massage therapy regulation. The FSMTB wouldn’t be what it is without the dedication and expertise of our volunteers.

Last year alone, FSMTB volunteers contributed over 5,000 hours of their time! Their dedication plays a vital role in advancing our mission of public protection and strengthening the regulation of the massage therapy profession.

The 2026 MBE Summit successfully wrapped up Friday, April 24!

Over the past few days, massage board executives from across the country came together for dynamic discussions, collaboration, and networking at the MBE Summit. From the Hack-A-Thon workshop exploring education and school approval to learning strategies for successful public engagement, this event provided a valuable forum for regulators to share insights and strengthen the effectiveness of massage therapy regulation.

A huge thank you to all who participated and contributed to this impactful gathering. Until next time!

The FSMTB has shared a letter to provide clarity regarding recent communications from the Council of State Governments (CSG) about the Interstate Massage Compact (IMpact™). Their January 14 Statement, distributed to state regulatory boards and broadly throughout the profession, contains four patently false assertions regarding FSMTB's actions.

FSMTB’s letter outlines the Federation’s position and explains why reopening the compact’s model legislation raises significant concerns for public protection, regulatory integrity, and licensure mobility.

We encourage you to review our letter in full and to reach out to FSMTB with questions or for additional information.
