In a world where we are increasingly told that college is not as necessary, it is worth pausing to imagine what it would look like if access to education disappeared altogether. Learning builds confidence, creates stability, and opens doors that once felt out of reach. Those ripple effects extend far beyond one person, shaping families, communities, and futures. That is why education still changes everything.

REF scholarships are designed to meet students where they are. Awards are given individually, with up to $5,000 per year for middle school students and up to $10,000 per year for high school and college students. Beyond funding, REF helps scholars search for additional scholarships and navigate financial aid, with a strong focus on closing funding gaps so students can avoid education-related debt. Eligible applicants are first-generation college students, Pell Grant eligible, enrolled or planning to enroll full time and in person, with a minimum 2.5 GPA and completed FAFSA documentation. The Reda Educational Foundation proudly presents Broadway on the Plains III, featuring Tony-nominated Broadway star Betsy Wolfe.

Most recently, Betsy lit up the stage in the hit musical “& Juliet” as Anne Hathaway, earning a 2023 Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She is currently starring in the new musical “Joy,” bringing the inspiring story of Joy Mangano to life. Audiences have also adored her as Jenna in “Waitress,” Cordelia in the Tony-nominated revival of “Falsettos,” and as Cathy in the acclaimed Off-Broadway revival of “The Last Five Years.”

Beyond Broadway, Betsy has starred in films like Estella Scrooge and First One In, appeared on CBS’s Instinct, and wowed sold-out crowds nationwide with her one-woman cabaret All Bets Are Off. Her impressive career includes work with the Metropolitan Opera, over 50 symphony and pops orchestras, and iconic venues like Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.

From her debut at age 20 with the Cincinnati Pops to founding BroadwayEvolved, one of the nation’s top musical theatre training programs, Betsy’s talent and passion for the arts have inspired audiences worldwide.
