A day to remember. A milestone for Watson Links. 💚💙⛳️

As the AdventHealth Championship tees off today at Blue Hills Country Club, we’re looking back on a special day that brought the game’s next generation together with the championship stage. Tom Watson Watson Links founder and 8-time Major Champion was right there alongside them.

Last Sunday, the first-ever AdventHealth Championship Junior Day benefiting Watson Links brought together 130 juniors, mentors and volunteers for a day of golf, mentorship and fun featuring three unique experiences: Day of Play Scramble, Skills Clinic, and Golf Relay!

A huge thank you to Korn Ferry Tour pros Harry Higgs and Robert Streb, along with Tom, for making the day extra special by sharing their expertise, time and encouragement with participants.

We’re grateful to AdventHealth Championship, Blue Hills Country Club Facility and Staff, and Korn Ferry Tour for helping bring this inaugural experience to life, and to our incredible Watson Links Golf Mentors who played in the scramble and volunteered at the clinic.

This day wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of our amazing event partners, including AdventHealth South Overland Park Medical Group, The William G. McGowan Charitable Fund, Tap Ins at the Greenhouse, YMCA of Greater Kansas City, Chick-fil-A Liberty, Johnny's Tavern and Hiland Dairy. July was filled with memorable golf mentoring moments, and these scenes from our Ironhorse Mentor Month capture it all. 💚⛳️

The initiative kicked off with a fun “part-tee,” giving our golf mentors and junior golfers the chance to meet and connect. From there, mentor-mentee pairs continued to meet throughout the month for fun 9-hole rounds at Ironhorse Golf Club, a four-star Golf Digest-rated course and the only Troon-managed course in the Kansas City metro.

More than just time on the course, our Ironhorse Mentor Month created opportunities for conversation, encouragement, friendship and plenty of shared golf memories.

A huge thank you to our incredible golf mentors for showing up and investing their time in the next generation of golfers - and to Ironhorse Golf Club for helping make this experience possible. We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring mentors and juniors together on the course! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

What an incredible day in Denver! ⛳💙

Our second Bank of America Golf with Us Day of Play brought together 18 junior golfers and 18 golf mentors for nine holes filled with mentoring, creativity, resilience, and plenty of fun.

A huge thank you to Bank of America for making these experiences possible in conjunction with Golf with Us clinics, and to Positive Athlete for leading our "Bounce Back" resilience hole, helping juniors learn how to respond to challenges both on and off the course. 💪

We're also grateful to Foothills Golf Course operated through the Foothills Park & Recreation District, First Tee - Colorado Rocky Mountains and every golf mentor and volunteer who generously gave their time to make the day so meaningful.

🏈⛳ Special shoutout to Denver Broncos legend and 4x All-Pro safety Justin Simmons () who shared his golf journey and helped make the day more memorable.

Decades ago, Tom Watson raised the Claret Jug capturing his 5th Open Championship title at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club in England.

This week, as golf returns to the same historic links for the 154th The Open Championship, we're reminded that golf's greatest tradition isn't just about championships. It's one generation sharing the game with the next.
