SOUP SUPPER, AUCTION, RAFFLE AND KIDS FUN ON SATURDAY
Has it been as chaotic for you all this week too? There's so many things to do for this upcoming event the Friends are putting on for everyone on Saturday, just to make sure it's as enjoyable to everyone who comes as possible.
We got you covered for dinner!!! Come to the Community Room at the Overbrook Library starting at 5:30pm and let us feed you delicious soup. Several different kinds of soups are being made, (and I heard Joanna Brady from the Sunflower Bakery is going to make some cinnamon rolls for us that always go good with the chili!)
HEY FRIENDS!!! Someone IS making chili, right???
I'm bringing the Creamy Pepperoni Pizza Soup I made last year. I'm pretty sure everyone liked that (as does my family). But I always try a few bites of more than 1 soup - because it's allowed (as long as someone dips it for you).
1. And don't forget the kids activities.
2. And the silent auction, which this year will not be limited to desserts (but there will definitely be those delicious food items). So make your auction bids on items you want to take home with you. But be prepared for a little competition when the big voice of Mr. Don Schultz starts finalizing the winning bids.
3. And a RAFFLE! we have some "baskets or boxes or ?" filled with awesome things for the family (which may include pets too), so I'm sure there will be something you and your family will want to win.
Buy your raffle tickets for $1 each, or 6 for $5. Then put one half of your tickets in the containers for each raffle item (or stuff them all into one for better chances), keep your fingers crossed to win, and stay to see if your ticket is pulled. We won't have names, just ticket numbers, so be sure to hold onto your ticket stubs. We wish everyone luck for the raffles, but I often hope the people who always seem to win at BINGO when I'm SOO close, don't feel the need to take one home.
Soup is served starting at 5:30 pm tomorrow night (Saturday March 7) and it's all prepared and served with love for our community, our library, and your enjoyment. Your good-will offering goes to support your Overbrook Public Library. Tell your friends, bring the kids, and the neighbors, and treat your parents to a night out with the family without busting the budget.
We hope to see you all there. We do this to support the Library, but we couldn't do it without you! Don't forget that the library is there for YOU, so use it!
