THE OTTUMWA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (OEDC) was formed in 1963 and has worked closely with the city, county and state leaders to make Ottumwa more attractive to businesses for 46 years. A nonprofit corporation that supports and promotes responsible economic development, OEDC's board and staff are comprised of a diverse group of management and business professionals. OEDC is funded from a c

ombination of sources including the City of Ottumwa, Wapello County, the City of Blakesburg, City of Eldon, and a number of private investors. Whether you are a local company or a business looking for a new location, OEDC can provide information about financial resources, government advocacy, building and land inventories, economic and demographic information, as well as assistance with labor training resources. OEDC strives to develop and implement programs designed to promote startup, relocation, expansion and retention of business in the Ottumwa/Wapello County area.
