NWO Youth Flag Football League

NWO Youth Flag Football League Registration for the NWO Youth Flag Football League will be open May 1, 2017. Information will be sent out to schools and students starting April 1, 2017.

The NWO Youth Flag Football League will be providing an opportunity for Putnam County and surrounding areas, ages 5-10 to compete in a local youth flag football league. Registration is available to all Putnam County students. NWO Youth Flag Football League will be open to all Putnam County students, ages 5-9 (10 entering 4th grade). The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity

to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork. We will be offering flag football during the late summer and early fall seasons. Players will learn skills and lessons that help them succeed both on and off the field. The game is 5-on-5 flag football, which teaches the basic skills of football; running, passing, receiving, and defending, all while maintaining non-contact rules that eliminate blocking and tackling. The NWO Youth FFL will be partnering with the NFL and all players will receive a reversible NFL Team Jersey, NFL flag belts and flags, and membership to USA Football! The league fee will be $35, which includes NFL equipment, USA Football Membership, Accident Insurance, minimum of 10 games, and a chance to play in the playoffs. Champions and runners up will receive trophies, and all players receive a Certificate from the NFL for participation. That was a LOUD morning! We kicked off the season with first flag pulls and TD's, QB sacks and INT's. We mixed in plenty of water and excitement. Thank you for all the compliments and understanding as we began another year of NWO Flag Football! It's now officially week 1.

Right now, we are monitoring the chance of thunderstorms this morning. A decision will be made at 8:30 this morning if we will play or postpone scrimmages. As of now, games are planning to be played as scheduled. Stay tuned.
