Post 8000's President, Garrett was awarded an aviation career merit award from the Scouts BSA program. This included completing 9 achievements within the aviation merit cluster as well completing over 50 hours of community service.

Garrett is the first explorer from the Heart of America Council to earn this merit award!

Thank you Mr. Robert for serving as Garrett's award advisor.

Getting caught up on the past couple of post meetings..
It was great weather for a fly night - always an explorer favorite activity. Thank you Mr. Robert & Mr. Liam for being our pilots!

Last Thursday, Mrs. Abra and Mr. Nathan presented to the post important information on presenting yourself, speaking to the public and fundraising as we prepare for Airport Fun Day. Thank you both for your time & effort!

Today Post 8000 traveled to Topeka, KS and had a great time touring Vaerus Jet Sales. We got to explore some super nice jets and learned alot about this cool company. Following Vaerus, we got a tour of the nearby Forbes Tower. Wow, we love aviation!
