Today, on International Women’s Day, Odyssey Showcase proudly recognizes and celebrates the remarkable contributions of women across industries, communities, and generations.

Women continue to shape the world through leadership, innovation, advocacy, and service. From entrepreneurs and professionals to caregivers, educators, artists and community builders, their work strengthens organizations, drives progress, and inspires future leaders.

At Odyssey Showcase we are honoured to spotlight women whose dedication, vision, and resilience are making a meaningful impact. Their stories remind us that progress is built not only through individual achievement, but through collaboration, mentorship, and the willingness to lift others along the way.

Today we celebrate the women who lead, the women who build, the women who advocate, and the women who quietly create change every day.

Your contributions matter. Your leadership matters. Your stories matter.

Happy International Women’s Day!

This Black History Month, Odyssey Showcase proudly re-introduces Justice on Tap / Justice de Cabaret — a six-part anti-racism educational web series that goes beyond history to inspire authentic change.

This compelling series is part of Canada Speaks in Diverse Ways / Les voix du patrimoine / Aki
Animitagozig, exploring diverse Canadian experiences through music, law, dance, regalia, and storytelling.

Named for the 1939 Christie v. York Tavern case — where Fred Christie was denied service because he was Black — Justice on Tap reminds us that change begins with understanding.

Discover. Reflect. Join the conversation.

We are seeking partners, collaborators, and funding opportunities to continue sharing stories that unite us all.

For over 25 years, Odyssey Showcase has been bringing diverse voices together through music, dance, and storytelling.

Our latest initiative,  The Drum, the Shofar and Universal Beats / Apich Nondawag Tewehigan Manidò Nigandinig Kidji Nimiyan, continues that legacy—highlighting the connections between Indigenous and Jewish cultures and universal beats, such as stomp and Jazz, to foster understanding, dialogue, and inclusion.

We look forward to welcoming students and teachers at tomorrow performance!

What do Dutch Mason, the Rolling Stones, and the Ottawa Jazz Festival have in common?

🎶 The answer is Peter Brown.

A master of jazz and blues, Peter Brown has lit up the Ottawa Jazz Festival stage more than a dozen times. He’s toured with Canadian blues legend Dutch Mason and former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, and spent 17 years as the keyboard heartbeat of Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo.

With three acclaimed jazz albums—Marie‑Claude (2002), Franklin Street (2008), and Beautiful Love (2014)—plus decades of theatre and studio work, Peter’s music tells stories that stay with you long after the final note.
