Every kennel is filled, and behind every door is a dog just waitingā€”hoping someone will notice them. Some are wagging with excitement, some are quietly watching, and some are still trying to understand why theyā€™re here and not home.

They come in every shape, size, color, and personalityā€¦ but they all share the same hope: to be chosen.

Over the years, weā€™ve happily loaned out cat carriers to community members in need, and weā€™re always glad to help when we can. Unfortunately, weā€™ve reached the point where we currently have none available, and these carriers are essential for several of our programs and the animals in our care.

If youā€™ve borrowed a carrier from us in the past and itā€™s still hanging out in your garage, closet, or trunk, weā€™d be so grateful if you could send it homešŸ’œ

And if you have any extra cat carriers collecting dust that youā€™d like to donate, weā€™d happily put them to good use! Every carrier helps.

Meet Cowboy šŸ¤ 

Cowboy came to us as a stray, which means we had to do what we do best: become detectives. Since he didnā€™t come with a resume, references, or even a breed breakdown, weā€™ve had to piece together the mystery ourselves.

He arrived with another dog who was quickly adopted, while poor Cowboy is still wondering where his own happily ever after is.

We have him listed as a 3-year-old mixed breed, but letā€™s be honestā€¦ your guess is as good as ours. Heā€™s got a perfectly normal dog head attached to what appears to be a brindle Basset Hound body. We can neither confirm nor deny that someone accidentally hit ā€œrandomizeā€ when building him.

What we do know is that heā€™s pint-sized, cute as can be, and built like an adorable little meatball. Cowboy has never met a stranger and has absolutely loved every person heā€™s encountered. Heā€™s friendly, happy, and always ready to make new friends.

Seriously, someone please come adopt our cute little munchkin. His former roommate already got promoted to couch life, and Cowboy is more than ready for his turn. ā¤ļø

Monday is a fresh startāœØ

A brand new week means new possibilities for the shelter pets patiently waiting for their forever homes. Itā€™s another chance to be seen, another opportunity to trade kennel walls for cozy couches, and another week filled with hope.

Every adoption changes a life. Every share helps a pet reach the right person. Every visit could be the beginning of a happily ever after.

Right now, our shelter is overflowing with senior cats and dogs, and sadly, they are often the ones who wait the longest for a family of their own. Too many are overlooked simply because of their age, but these sweet souls deserve love and comfort just as much as any puppy or kitten.

Senior pets have so much to offer. They are loving, grateful, and often calmer companions who are past the chaos of their younger years. All they want is a soft bed, a kind hand, and someone to spend their golden years with.

Age is just a number, and every animal deserves the chance to know what itā€™s like to be cherished. As we feature some of our amazing senior residents, we hope youā€™ll see what we seeā€”beautiful souls who still have so much love left to give.
