Our board members would say they are community members wanting to assist the men and women of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for all they do to protect and serve the Franklin County community.
Our board members are active in many other community groups, too. They continually are serving the community in a variety of ways. Many times they are working behind the scenes to make ideas come to fruition and lives better for all community members.
Our president, Tom Horstick would never want the attention. However, KCTV 5 has shared with everyone, what we already knew- Tom is a great asset to our community.

In conjunction with our efforts to raise funds for Deputy Sam Smith Memorial Scholarship this year, Pizza Village as in years past, contributed a portion of their sales from last Saturday to the scholarship.
We are very fortunate as a community to have you as members.You support the community in so many ways. Thank you.

We have amazing community support. One of our biggest supporters and we cannot say thank you enough is the Uht Family- The Pizza Village . Pizza Village will donate a percentage of their sales today to the scholarship fund. Thank you again for always having our deputies and Foundation's six.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15th falls, National Police Week. National Police Week (May 10-16, 2026) pays special recognition to law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
We keep all law enforcement families in our thoughts and prayers.
We especially keep the family and friends of Deputy Sam Smith in our thoughts and prayers- this week and every week. Deputy Smith's EOW -July 23, 2010, while serving to protect our community.

Have you purchased your ticket for our awesome raffle to support Deputy Sam Smith Memorial Scholarship for area high school students? The drawing date is getting close, we will be drawing the winner on May 23 at The Pizza Village.
Pizza Village will be donating a portion of their sells that day to the scholarship. Thank you Uht Family and employees for your continued support.

We are beyond grateful to have been awarded a MFA Oil Foundation grant. The grant will be utilized to purchase equipment for the Franklin County, KS - Sheriff's Office tactical team members and to purchase LED Road Flare Lights for our deputies to use during traffic incidents.

We appreciate the continued support from our community and MFA Oil Foundation as we work to better serve and provide equipment to protect our deputies as they serve and protect our community members.

The MFA Oil Foundation provides support to nonprofit organization that are working to improve communities where MFA Oil has a significant concentration of members and employees. Since it was established in 1998, the MFA Oil Foundation has awarded more than four million dollars in grants.
