What we do:
We are truckers united to help donate the funds we raise to local nonprofits, especially those which support children in need. A look at our history includes:
In 2012 funds raised from the Mid-America Truck show supported the Home of the Innocents (a local charity for children in Louisville, KY) and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation (a hospital where Chance Rogers (the gran
dson of a fellow trucker, and childhood cancer patient) was treated. In the summer of 2012 we helped raise funds at the Great American Truck Show in Dallas, Texas for Special Olympics Texas. Since those beginnings, TUFC has set up at various truck shows to cook food for donations, received donations directly, as well as through online fundraisers, and utilized other fundraising methods to gather funds. Events where TUFC has set up to raise funds include the Mid-American Truck Show in Louisville, The Great American Truck Show in Dallas, TX, Antique Truck and Tractor Show, Ypsilanti, MI, Great Lakes Truck Show, Dundee, MI, The JBC Truck Show in Perrysburg, OH, The Heart of America Truck Show in Kansas City, KS, the Expedite Expo Truck Show in Wilmington, OH, and the Whiteford Township Fall Fest in Ottawa Lake, MI. Beneficiaries of the fundraising have included: Home of The Innocents, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation, Camp Quality Kentuckiana, Truckers Against Trafficking, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of NW Ohio, Head Start Kansas City, Bridges Make a Wish, Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Galilean Children’s Home, support for children in foster care in Liberty, KY, St Christopher's Fund, Truckers Christmas Fund, Backpacks 4 Kids AZ, and Whiteford-Stoneco Park Playground. Your involvement makes a difference, and there are different ways to help. You can designate TUFC as the beneficiary for an online fundraiser (such as for a birthday, in place of gifts). Now is a good time to start planning to make it to one of the truck shows or events where we will raise funds next. We can use many helping hands on site, as well as ideas during the conference calls leading up to them.
