Retiring American Flags With Honor and Dignity

As a kid, growing up in Boy Scouts and having a Veteran and patriotic father, I always had respect for our nation’s flag. Serving in the military forged that respect into something I had never anticipated. I realized what an honor it was to serve under the flag and what it stands for.

Flash forward many years and that same honor and respect has grown into the desire to ensure the Flag of the United States of America is handled and treated properly, particularly at the end of it’s lifespan. Seeing too many frayed and worn flags flying, at homes and businesses, I saw a need and decided to fill it.

Most know that organizations like the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Boy Scouts of America conduct ceremonies to retire flags when they are worn to the point that they are no longer a fitting emblem of our great nation. Patriot American Flag Retirement was founded to work with businesses, municipalities and patriots to pick up and deliver these flags for ceremonial retirement in a dignified way.

This service is offered and carried out free of charge. It is our goal to continue this work and encourage others, with inspiration and education, to show pride in Ol’ Glory, through proper handling, display and retirement, with the honor and dignity it deserves.
