One Small Step 5K for FPWR

I am organizing a 5K in honor of Mackenna Leigh who was born with a rare genetic disorder, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). #mightymackenna

PWS is the leading cause of genetic life-threatening childhood obesity, and there is no cure. A rare genetic disorder, it occurs randomly in approximately one out of every 15,000 births. The most notable symptom is extreme and unrelenting hunger coupled with a cruel, slow metabolism and low muscle tone. Because of the insatiable hunger, PWS is a life-threatening medical disorder.

All proceeds will go to the Foundation for Prader Will Research. The first 5K is set for Saturday October 19, 2019.
