We just finished our 49th year running this program. This year, we provided food to over 340 families, and gifts to over 1300 children. They received a 20 lbs box of dry food, potatoes, onions, flour, sugar, apples, beans, strawberries, milk, eggs, and a Christmas Ham. We had hundreds of volunteers help make this happen over the last few weeks. And we had dozens of local organizations and businesses donate or provide food items at discounted prices so we could make this happen. There are too many individuals to name one at a time, but thank you to everyone who continues to make this happen!

Thank you to everyone who has reached out today to purchase gifts and to donate small amounts of cash to help us accomplish our goal of these last remaining hundred gift baskets. The last of our toys are trickling in and tonight at 5 o’clock we will start assembling the last 80 to 100 baskets to go out tomorrow. If anybody is available to volunteer at the toy barn tonight we will be starting at 5 PM at 230 N Broadway Ave!

PSA on canned food items! Please do not donate items that at way past the expiration date. We have found quite a few items that are over a decade past the best buy date. The general rule of thumb is this: if you wouldn’t eat it, please don’t risk someone else eating it.
