Yesterday Comandante Adan Shinagawa (Fire Chief of Bomberos Culiacan) was wrongfully terminated after 35 years of service to the city of Culiacan. Adan has been a tremendous leader and fire Chief to the city of Culiacan. Thanks to Adan and his efforts throughout these last 12 years, our group of instructors have been bringing our training and equipment year after year to the entire state of Sinaloa, not just Culiacan. If it wasn’t for Adan, none of these last 12 years would have been possible.

Our passion to help our bomberos in Mexico has grown because of Adan, our most recent trip to Culiacan was in February 2020 where we worked hard for months prior to get them this ladder truck from Washington State, so that it could help better protect their city and community. Adan had a key role in acquiring this apparatus, as well as many other firefighter equipment and coordinating with our instructors group to train his department on how to safely use this truck before it was placed in service.

Adan, we owe you a huge thank you for your 35 years of service and for what you have accomplished for the city of Culiacan’s Fire Department. Thank you for treating us like family and for being the glue that has helped keep our amazing group of instructors together. You have all our support and will always be our comandante. Thank you.
