Wendy from Volney was kind enough to share this photograph in her backyard of a young bear. This bear is likely a yearling that was expelled from its mother's territory as she prepares for the upcoming breeding season.

Have you seen or heard of any black bear activity in or around the Oswego, NY area? If so, feel free to send a message. Young bears often start dispersing outward looking for territory in May or June, so keep a lookout for sign!
