A nice review of Lonis!
I just moved into Lonis and was taken by surprise. In the photos online it appears much smaller and more dated than it currently is. I asked around before moving in and discovered that it has a reputation for being old, lonely, and depressing. (Current students call it Lonely Lonis). On the contrary, I’ve been here for one day and I already love it! Some of that is due to my arrangement and decor, but it’s also because of the fresh coat of paint and new desks that must’ve been added in the past year or two. I actually brought a shelf because I didn’t know the desks had that top shelf already. Perhaps not all rooms are the same, but the one I am currently in looks much different than the one displayed on the website. It’s super spacious; online it looks fairly small and I had no idea how large the closets actually are. It’s not as dark and dreary as its reputation would portray! I understand that Lonis is meant to be a more unique residential community, but for those who have chosen to live here, I think they should know how great of a hall it really is.
