Today, Oswego American Legion Post 675 honors the Vietnam veterans and their families who have been affected by the lasting consequences of Agent Orange.
Agent Orange was used during the Vietnam War, and its effects have continued to impact veterans and their families decades later. Today is a time to remember, recognize, and support those who have carried the burden of exposure long after their service ended.
To our Vietnam veterans: Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your courage. We remember those we have lost and stand with those who continue to face the effects of Agent Orange.

🇺🇸 **36 YEARS OF SERVICE, SACRIFICE & REMEMBRANCE** 🇺🇸

Today, August 7, we honor the 36th anniversary of **Operation Desert Shield**, which began in 1990 as U.S. forces deployed to defend Saudi Arabia following Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait.

We remember and honor the brave men and women of the **U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard** who served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm—and we especially remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

From all of us at **Oswego American Legion Post 675**, thank you to every veteran and service member who answered the call. 🇺🇸
