What’s happening on 16 now in Ossipee??

Thank you to all the Food Drive Volunteers and most especially to the Ossipee Hannaford Customers for their generosity. We "Stuffed the Truck" with over 180 big boxes for food, pounds of pet food, and filled the cash boxes with over $900 in donations. We are so grateful for all of your commitments to help fill the shelves of our local food pantries. Volunteers from Provisions in Ossipee, Freedom Food Pantry, Madison Church Food Pantry and Tanworth/Sandwich Community Food Pantry, community and Rotary Club of Ossipee Valley members stood side by side to request and receive donations on Friday afternoon and Saturday and then all donated food was distributed to the pantries on Saturday afternoon.

Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors, the customers of Hannafords, and the many volunteers, the Food Pantry Shelves are stocked with food to make Thanksgiving better for many who are in need in our towns.

Our club is not meeting tonight, Nov 17. Our next meeting is Monday Nov 24 at 5 pm at River’s Edge Grill.

All meetings will be at 5:00 pm for the winter.

Just two days until the Rotary Club of Ossipee Valley Food Drive at Osippee Hannaford Supermarket! Come on out and help us reduce food insecurity here in the Ossipee Valley. We will be at Hannaford on Friday Nov 14 and Saturday Nov 15 with shopping lists of needed food items that our local food pantries have identified. Grab a list and buy a few items to help us Stuff the Truck with food for Thanksgiving! See you there!!

Once again, the Rotary Club of Ossipee Valley is hosting a Food Drive at Ossipee Hannaford Supermarket, on Nov 14 and 15. During this time of Thanksgiving and with Food Insecurity rising in our communities, we urge all community members to support this event. All food and dollars donated will benefit our four area Food Pantries: Provisions in Ossipee, Madison Church food Pantry, Freedom Food Pantry and Tamworth/Sandwich Food Pantry.

What a wonderful meeting we had this Monday with a special visitor, Joe, from Honor Flight! As a club we presented Honor Flight with a generous donation in honor of one of our late members, Ron Holliday.

Ron was not only a very active Ossipee Valley Rotary Club member, but also a veteran who was able to participate in Honor Flight four months before his passing. He spoke at a meeting last year about his experience with Honor Flight and how powerful this experience was for him and the other participating veterans.

The next Honor Flight leaves Mancher Airport on Father’s Day. They would love to have as many people as possible at the airport at 7:15 AM to welcome and send off the next group of veterans being honored. Please message for more details!
