✨ Meet Your Instructor!! Kona Morris is a storyteller, writer, and educator. She has won StorySLAM in New York City, Boston, and Los Angeles, and she came in first place for the Ojai Storytelling Festival Story Slam, which was judged by Featured Tellers from the International Storytelling Festival. Kona has performed on national television shows and podcasts, including Stories from the Stage (PBS), the RISK! podcast, and AITApod.

Discover Bethany Through the Seasons
with Strawtown Studio

For families, recommended ages 5+.

Look at the beauty and workings of nature through a creative lens on Bethany's beautiful 23-acre campus: woods, meadow, stream, arbor, and more. Make art inspired by materials harvested from the land.

We will gather in a comfortable outdoor studio that will be staged for relaxing, art-making, sharing our discoveries, and making new friends! With this kind of “art” everyone is an artist. Surprise yourself and your family members!

🎉 Announcing BAC's 2026 Fall Multidisciplinary Artists-in-Residence 🎉

Join us in welcoming: Addie Ulrey, Christina Foloyan, Kristin Marting, Rita Mookerjee, E'mon Lauren, Lorenzo Guerrini, Sarah Boucher, Michelle Zarco, Yanmei Jiang, and Laura Perovich.

These artists are working in the disciplines of theatre, poetry & writing, music, dance, sculpture, visual and fine arts, education, and community engaged art making. While at BAC September 22 - October 6, they'll develop new works, works-in-progress, and engage with our community.

As part of a residency at BAC, we ask each artist to build and facilitate a Community Program. Community Programs are a unique opportunity for both artists-in-residence and our local community to gather, engage, and be in conversation with one another through art. Community Programs are free engagements open to the public and/or in collaboration with a local community partner.

New or increased donations to BAC will be matched by ArtsWestchester between August 15 and December 15, 2026. We thank ArtsWestchester along with generous support from the Westchester County Executive and Westchester County Board of Legislators for making the 2026 ART$WChallenge program possible.

Matching funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Contributions will be matched for the first $7,000 raised during this challenge.

In It’ll Be Fine, Julie and Jake, two friends that grew up together in a small town in upstate NY, move to the city after falling in love and begin planning their lives together. But when their childhood best friend dies by su***de as they prepare for their wedding, the couple is forced to confront grief, identity, and the uncertain future they imagined together.

Geared towards both beginners and those who are primarily self-taught. Students gain confidence and receive a solid foundation of new skills all in one full weekend. The workshop covers cutting techniques, proper adhesives, substrates, design/layout and grouting.
