Wreaths Across America - Osseo WI

Our 2024 Wreaths Across America mission was complete as we finished at Osseo Cemetery. We had a great grouping young people present the ceremonial service wreaths and so many volunteers to help place over 300 wreaths!! A job well done by all of the cemetery coordinators, roving colorguard members and volunteers. A special thank you to Pastor Dave Christianson who offered the invocation at all 4 cemeteries today!! Time to get some of that chili that the American Legion Auxiliary has at the cabin!! Merry Christmas!!

South Beef River cemetery is complete! Such great volunteers - and it was so wonderful to see so many grandparents helping their grandkids present the wreaths and state the veterans names.

Kings Valley cemetery ceremony and wreath placement is complete! A great group of volunteers. Of special note at this location was the 4 generations of the McCune family who participated - what a legacy to share!!

First ceremony complete at Thompson Valley Cemetery! Thank you so much to the volunteers that came out to honor and remember the veterans laid to rest here! Smiles despite the crazy wind and frigid temps!!

Today is the day!! Volunteers are welcome to participate in the beautiful program honoring and remembering our veterans laid to rest in the following cemeteries. Dress warm and travel safely!!

Thompson Valley Cemetery - 11:00
Kings Valley Cemetery - Noon
South Beef River Cemetery - 1:00
Osseo Cemetery - 2:00

Hot soup and refreshments will be hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary throughout the day at the Cabin in the Pines in Stoddard Park. Come join us!!

The wreaths are ready for our Wreaths Across America event tomorrow, December 14th!! Ceremonies are scheduled as follows:

Thompson Valley Cemetery - 11:00
Kings Valley Cemetery - Noon
South Beef River Cemetery - 1:00
Osseo Cemetery - 2:00

We welcome any volunteers who would like to participate in placement of these beautiful wreaths in honor and memory of the veterans laid to rest in each of these cemeteries. As we speak each veterans name we keep their memories alive.

Hot soups and refreshments will be available at the American Legion Cabin in the Pines, here in Osseo near Stoddaed Park, throughout the day!

Wreaths Across America day is fast approaching!! Events on December 14th are scheduled at the following locations in/near Osseo:

Thompson Valley Cemetery - 11:00
Kings Valley Church Cemetery - Noon
South Beef River Church Cemetery - 1:00
Osseo Cemetery - 2:00

Warm refreshments will be served at the American Legion Cabin in the Pines throughout the day! Please come out to any of the cemetery ceremonies and join us at the cabin!
