Teens (6th-12th Graders)
Bi-weekly Mondays 4:45PM-5:25PM

Young Adult (18+)

About our program
Shining Stars adaptive dance program was developed to give individuals with differing abilities the opportunity to enjoy the performing arts in an atmosphere of community and inclusion. These kindergarten- young adult dance classes take place at The Dance Complex in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The benefits of adaptive dance for individuals with disabilities are immeasurable. First and foremost, our adaptive dance program keeps dancers physically and mentally active. This also allows for many socialization opportunities with other dancers, adults, and mentors.

Our program is FREE to our Shining Stars families. Yes, FREE! Our program costs are funded through fundraising and generous donations. Shining Stars is housed under the TDC Boosters 501(c)3 program. ALL proceeds go towards dance costs including, but not limited to:
* Costumes, shoes & tights
* Competition fees
* Recital fees
* Classroom supplies
* Special team events
* Swag for the year

Mentor program
Our mentor program is most important piece of Shining Stars!! Every dancer is thoughtfully paired with a volunteer mentor. Mentors are asked to attend practices, two performances and special events with some flexibility. The bonds created throughout the season are magical and life changing! Mentor age requirement is 12+ If you know someone who would love to help out contact us at [email protected] with interest!

We have some left over grams! Grab your list minute grams for your dancer, teacher, neighbor, or friend!

If you would like one, grab one from the bin at the front desk tonight or tomorrow & submit payment. When they’re gone they are gone!

They will be blank and can be filled out by you. We will NOT be delivering these!

$3.00/each - either in cash, Shining Stars page on boosters account or Venmo.

Shining Stars 2023-2024 season!

Shining Stars is a 501(c)3 dance program under TDC Boosters. This program is for any Kindergarten - Young Adult with special needs looking for a community of love and support! No dance experience needed! Each Shining Star is thoughtfully paired with a mentor throughout the entire dance season.

So how much does it cost?! Well, this is something our program is extremely proud of- we offer this program for FREE to our families! This is possible through many fundraising efforts and generous donations.
