The Oskaloosa FFA Chapter is searching for chapter sponsors for this school year. Sponsorship money helps pay for hotels for trips like state and national convention, student meals, various contests, chapter banquet, FFA week activities and more!

Our chapter would not thrive like it does because of our sponsors.

If you are interested in sponsoring please reach out to an FFA member!
Don’t know one? Email Mrs. Highfill to get connected with an eager member ready to find a sponsor.

We have about two weeks left for sponsorship forms to be turned in as they are Due Sept 18th.

During the 5th general session at the 98th Kansas FFA State Convention Oskaloosa FFA was recognized as a silver ranked National chapter!!

Every year FFA chapters across the country have to submit a Program of Activities stating their intended schedule for the school year. Each chapter is expected to have activities and committees in three major categories, Growing Leaders, Building Communities, and Strengthening Agriculture. During March chapters have the option to submit all activities done to a National Chapter application where they are judged and ranked in the Gold, Silver, and Bronze category. This year the 2025-2026 officer team put hours into our first ever national chapter application. Although we were not in the top 10 or gold bracket submitting this application was a huge step in the growth to our chapter and it is impressive that we were able to complete all activities in the required categories to submit the application.

State Convention Recap!!

We arrived Wednesday afternoon to attend the opportunity fair and opening session.

Thursday we spent the day with Pleasant Ridge FFA where we started the day with a tour of KanEquip in Wamego then breakfast at Early Edition. After breakfast we got a tour from Mr.Highfill of K-States Purebred Beef Unit. More fun came at K-States bowling alley, outpost western store, a trip to Manhattan Hill, and no trip is complete without a couple trips to Walmart. We attended our district social at City Park where we then said goodbye to our friends from Pleasant Ridge. It was a late night at ignite the night where we went 4-2 in the annual dodgeball tournament!!! It’s safe to say Thursday was a fun team building opportunity!!!

We were up early this morning to attend the 5th general session where 2026-2027 President, Addison Burns and Vice President, Klayton Schultz got to go on stage to be recognized for our Silver Ranked National Chapter application!!!
