🚲 OKF recently purchased 20 bike locks for kids in Oshkosh!

Why is this important? Because something as simple as a bike lock can be a financial barrier for some families. Not every child has access to the resources needed to keep their bike safe.

For some kids, a bike is more than a way to have fun. It's their transportation to school, appointments, after-school activities, and other important places. When a bike gets stolen, the impact can be much bigger than losing a bike. It can mean missed school days, contributing to chronic absenteeism and truancy, missed appointments, lost opportunities, and added stress for families who may not have the means to replace it.

Providing bike locks is a small investment that can help prevent a much bigger problem. It's about removing barriers, protecting an important resource, and helping kids stay connected to their education, healthcare, and community.

🎃👻 Need a Halloween Costume For Your Child? 👻🎃

Oshkosh Kids Foundation will be at the Oshkosh Farmers Market handing out Halloween costumes to children who need one — while supplies last! We have a limited supply, but the costumes range from lady bugs to knights!

We have a limited supply of costumes generously donated by a local Girl Scout troop last season. A huge THANK YOU to them for helping make this possible!

🎃 What to expect:
• Limited number of costumes available
• Very limited range of sizes
• Some masks and capes are available in one-size-fits-all
• Costumes will be available while supplies last****

If your child needs a costume this Halloween, stop by and see what we have available! We’re happy to help make sure more kids have the chance to enjoy the fun of Halloween.

At the Oshkosh Kids Foundation, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Having access to essential supplies can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life by helping them feel prepared, confident, and ready to succeed. 🎒✏️📚

This is a photo of one of the drop offs we are doing today of hair care and feminine hygiene products. We are incredibly proud to be able to provide supplies and essential items to Oshkosh kids and families who need them. Something as simple as everyday necessities can help ease the burden on families and remind children that their community cares about them.

It is an honor to be part of a community that believes in supporting its youngest members and helping create brighter futures. Every item we provide represents more than just a supply — it represents care, hope, and the belief that every child matters.
