Now that the ministry supply suitcases are loaded, it’s time to finalize what I/we personally need to pack! In one week, next Friday at this time, we’ll be exiting the airport in Africa and embarking on a God-venture!! Expecting Him to show up in big & miraculous ways and abundantly bless the women He has called us to be with!!

Partially packed suitcases are now in the dining room! We are only 10 days away from leaving and two weeks away from being at the retreat with the pastors’ wives! I saw some of them this morning when our host for our ministry work video called me! He was meeting with some of them and they were all praying for the retreat and for us! Can’t wait to see all of them in person and what God is going to do amongst us!!

I have to admit that my heart rate increased with excitement when the notification from the airline stated we are only 26 days from our departure to Kenya! Our ETA’s (visas) are approved, final logistics and details are in order. We are excited for all God will do!!

So thankful for this team that will be traveling to Kenya! And here is a fact that made me chuckle... Each one of us just turned 60 this year! One if us was 60 in February, the other in March and now me this month! And we are going to minister to 60 pastors wives! Only God can write a story like that!! It is now “official” that we are Kenya-bound in August! Our plane tickets have been purchased! We’ll be ministering to various groups of women in Kenya the week of August 16-23.
The primary group of women we are going to encourage is a group of 60 Kenyan pastors’ wives. We have a 2-day/overnight retreat we are so excited to be facilitating at no cost to them. We’ve raised sponsorship funds for over half of these pastors’ wives to attend our retreat, so …
… We are still looking for more folks who want to bless these ladies by sending them to our retreat!
… Sponsorship is $75 for one pastor’s wife and covers all of her retreat costs including her overnight stay and all meals for two days, retreat materials and a journal. On January 31st I had the blessing of being able to share my life story and the origins of Dime Ministries with a group of ladies at our church. It was a morning filled with fun, fellowship and God's presence! It was also very exciting to share with everyone our plans to travel to Kenya in August to facilitate a retreat for 60 pastors' wives!
To bless the Kenyan pastors' wives and ensure all of them can attend our retreat, we do not charge them for it. We are trusting God to provide the funds we need to do this ministry work through the generosity of others.
