The Civil Air Patrol National Flight Academy (NFA) - Great Lakes Region has been operating out of the National Education Training Center (NETC) at Wittman Field in Oshkosh since 1995. NFAs focus is to help kids obtain their first solo flight, qualifying them for solo wings - which is the first step to their private pilots license.
Civil Air Patrol flight instructors donate their time to assist Cadets in their pursuits. Within the week long event Cadets will complete 10 hours of ground school and 10 hours of flight training. NFA is one of many National Cadet Special Activities that are offered to Civil Air Patrol Cadets.
