Let's continue the celebration of our wonderful Warbirds!!🏒🎉

The PeeWee team had a great weekend in Rhinelander 2/28-3/1. They took home the B bracket Championship by winning all 3 games by a total score of 22-8, including 1 shutout!!

🏒 🚨WEHL SE U14 Girls going to Nationals🚨🏒

Congratulations the two OAYHA Bantam girls along with their Wisconsin Elite Hockey (WEHL) Team qualifying for USA Hockey National Championships!

The SE WEHL team won state in October and competed hard at Central Districts last weekend in St Louis. They earned a three-way tie for first place and was awarded an at-large bid to compete in the National Competition next weekend!

Congrats to Ellie Berg and Meira Schweitzer on this achievement, we are so proud of you and look forward to cheering you on from afar. 🎉🎉🎉

You all came to play! Thank you to everyone who participated in our first (& hopefully annual) Warbirds Trivia Faceoff! We appreciate you buying raffle tickets🎟️, joining in the 50/50 trivia💴, & packing the place with your families & friends💙

& a huge thanks to Gabe's Wisconsin Kitchen and Tavern for hosting🍽️🍻 Your staff is amazing, & we truly appreciate their time & you opening your space for our private event.

& to Mr. Trivia for running the games all evening & keeping everyone entertained🧠 I think it’s safe we all loved when teams got to pick rounds!

We’re excited to see you at our Warbirds Trivia Faceoff TONIGHT! 🎉

Here’s everything you need to know before you arrive:
📅 Monday, March 9, 2026
⏰ 6:00pm – 8:00pm (Doors will open at 5:00pm if you want to come early for a drink and to hang out beforehand)
📍 Gabe's Wisconsin Kitchen + Tavern

What to Expect:
• Two hours of high-energy, fast-paced trivia
• Dinner (You’ll choose from three meal options when you arrive/order)
• One beverage is included with your registration
• A cash bar available throughout the evening
• Two Warbirds signature drinks will be available for purchase — with $1 from each drink supporting our club
• Raffle baskets packed with great prizes

What to Bring:
• 💵 Cash for raffle baskets. You will pay the $40 per person fee (includes trivia, your meal, & one beverage) to Gabe’s/your server via cash or card, but raffle baskets are separate.
• 🧠 Your trivia knowledge & team spirit
• 🏒 A competitive edge & a sense of fun!

🏒 Attention all OAYHA Families! 🏒

As we look ahead to next season, OYHA will be holding a board member vote in the near future, and we are actively recruiting volunteers to help ensure a smooth transition and continued success of our program.

We’ve received some applications already, but we’d love to hear from more families who are interested in helping support and grow youth hockey in our community. Additional positions may open as needs arise!

🔹 Open Positions

Board Member
Help guide the overall direction of the association by supporting the business and operations of the program. Board members meet once per month and work through committees to support club initiatives.

Tournament Director
Lead the planning and ex*****on of our home tournaments, including scheduling, logistics, volunteers, and promotion. This role serves as the main point of contact for teams and partners.

Coaches
We are seeking coaches at multiple levels for next season and possible summer programming. Prior hockey experience is helpful but not required. SafeSport training and background checks are required. Coaching needs vary by level.

Support is also needed on committees including:
• Fundraising
• Tournaments
• Recruitment & Retention
• Team Management
