Law Enforcement Charitable Foundation unveils Medal of Valor to Honor Fallen Officers
Appleton, WI. – December 11, 2022 – The Law Enforcement Charitable Foundation recently partnered with locally-based Appleton Trophy and Engraving to create a Medal of Valor to Honor Fallen Officers.
According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, 652 Police Officers were killed in the line of duty in 2021. Thousands of lives changed in a matter of seconds. As a small non-profit, we wish we could provide financial assistance to all of the impacted families, however, our current resources restrict us from accomplishing that. What we can do is continue to be a voice for the fallen and provide families with the Law Enforcement Charitable Foundation Medal of Valor to honor their loved one.
Additionally, The LECF is working to create a grant process that would award five Law Enforcement Departments a $2,000 grant to be used to purchase safety equipment. “Police Departments are facing extreme challenges, which include reduced funding, staffing, and increased ambush-style attacks.” “As Guardians of Law Enforcement, we realize we can’t prevent these dangers, however by providing items that include Trauma Kits and Tourniquets, we can increase the likelihood of surviving an attack,” said Matt Harper, Executive Director of the Law Enforcement Charitable Foundation.
