Hi hi fellow Oshkoshers! I've seen quite a bit of activity on this page recently and I'd love to pop in as well π (This might be a doozy I clearly don't post much and don't use AI to write, gross)
1 - Everyone's biggest topic, get the FLOCK outta OSH. Thank you Oshkosh Citizens, City Staff, Council Members, and even FLOCK for coming out and showing your feelings and true colors over recent events. Lying is not okay and due diligence was DONE on this issue. I greatly hope a more secure system can be found to aid our police department.
2 - New Council Members! Congratulations new members of Oshkosh Common Council π you have been chosen to listen to the citizens and take care of our city. Do not take your responsibilities lightly, or you'll hear from me (it's not fun).
3 - Shoutout to Canadian National for finally leveling the tracks at Irving St RRX. Next week(?) they will be back to patch the asphalt moat they left so our crossing will actually be usable. Thanks so much Jim Collins, James Rabe, and any city staff affected by my pushiness to get that crossing fixed over the last 4 years. Honestly, S O. W O R T H. I T.
4 - My current activities include recently being appointed to the Long Range Finance Committee and Board of Zoning Appeals!!!!! I'm very excited to still play a roll in our local government as I love Oshkosh and am never going anywhere.
**The reason I've stepped back from common council is our small family company has been growing at the speed of light over the last 2 years. I absolutely love our rental company and the extremely small group of people I get to work with daily. It takes so much time and dedication to the point I would not currently be able to give what is needed to council.
In the end really all I can say is thank you (again) Oshkosh for letting me help our city. Working with my dad and grandpa in town (or even younger riding in trucks or at random job sites) has allowed me to see Oshkosh my entire life and how our city really works and what citizens really need. I could not be more proud of Oshkosh and know even greater things are ahead of us. ππ₯³
