As we celebrate a Merry Christmas 🎄 today we would also like to share a wonderful community story bringing Joy this morning to our AuSable and Oscoda Senior Citizens that are homebound but not forgotten!

This effort kicked off in June when Janice Kornacki started a collection 💰 so we could buy blanket making kits and between Oscoda/AuSable Senior Center, From Huron Out, To the Moon & Back and Robert J. Parks Library and atleast 7 meetups, over 50 blankets were cut and put together!
In addition we collected donations, got wish lists tags out and with the help of local businesses Lake Theatre, Oscoda MI, To The Moon & Back and AuSable Township Hall led by Kevin-Richel Kubik and the entire board, we got every single wish list filled by an amazing and generous community! Cathy's Hallmark donated Christmas cards and Linda Hock got a group of Senior Center volunteers to hand write holiday messages to each and every recipient. A group of us pulled it all together a few days ago with packaging and labeling for delivering by our meal delivery crew with 46 personalized 🎁 gift bags filled with wishes and community love ❤️! We had over 100 volunteers and many generous local businesses put forth the effort to make a difference.

Thank you to all for being the difference in our community - you caring, generosity, and commitment to others is such a gift this holiday season and we couldn’t be more appreciative! Merry Christmas!

Our Oscoda/AuSable Senior Citizens at Home for 2024 collection is in full swing and tags are out at To the Moon & Back, AuSable Township Hall and Lake Theatre, Oscoda MI - stop in and grab a tag and return unwrapped to the same location by Friday December 13 and help us bring a little Christmas 🎄 Joy 🔔 to our deserving Senior Citizens!

The 3rd Annual Senior Citizen Christmas Collection is almost wrapping up, and the Oscoda Growth Alliance is spreading cheer all year long! 🌟🎁

This summer, we're making it easier than ever to support our 90 seniors by launching a Christmas in July Collection! 🎉 You've got just a few days left to drop off your donations and make a difference. 🧓👵

🗓️ Hurry, collection ends this Saturday night! Make sure to visit these drop-off locations before they close at their regular hours:
