We have an amazing library in our community! Congratulations on getting the grant and thank you for providing such amazing services for our community!
Weโre happy to announce that new technology has been installed at the St. Clair County Library!! In October of 2025, it was announced that the St. Clair County Library was awarded a Technology Mini Grant in the amount of $17,719.
The LSTA grant was used to updated technology and technology components at our Lowry City Branch. Items replaced include: seven patron computers, two staff computers, computer software, and a color printer/copier/scanner/fax machine. The new energy efficient all-in-one computers will provide our patrons and staff with the latest technology, increasing the speed and ease with which they can access the Internet, create and save documents, attend online classes, apply for jobs and assistance, file taxes, search Library databases, and post on social media. The new color printer/copier/scanner/fax machine at our Main Library, allows our patrons and staff at that facility to complete tasks using an efficient all-in-one machine. Grant monies were also used to purchase additional WiFi access points for the meeting rooms at both library locations. This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
Donโt forget that our extended WiFi signal is available in the parking spaces directly in front of the Library (at both locations). To use this 24/7 access point, select โSCC Library Parkingโ and use the password: Books4U! .
