Dear teams and judges, we regret to inform you that we have decided to cancel our BBQ contest for 2024. We do not know what the future holds and if the Border War contest will ever return. We thank you for nearly a decade of fantastic competition and wish you the best of luck in your future competitions.

Dear teams, we regret to inform you that we have decided to cancel our BBQ contest this year. To date, we were only up to 15 teams. Our minimum goal was 25, and even with that we would be losing money.

If you have paid, we will be refunding contest fees via checks sent in the mail to the name and address that you registered with. If you would like the check sent somewhere else, please respond and let us know.

We apologize for the inconvenience and burden this may have caused you. This is not something that we would have ever wanted to do. It seems like many events are struggling to get enough teams this year, and our event has been no exception.

Chris Jones The Kansas City Chiefs wants some brisket. Wouldn’t that be cool if we could convince him to come down to Osawatomie?! I’m sure all of our teams wouldn’t mind hooking him up and getting him fed before the Chargers game!
