The foundation is dedicated to preserving and educating the public about the history of John Brown, the Adair family, and their roles during the “Bleeding Kansas” era, as well as the significant part Osawatomie played in those events.

On the week of August 31, we had the pleasure of hearing from Tammy Booe about the Miami County Community Foundation. Since 2007, the foundation has dedicated itself to "enriching lives through targeted philanthropy, fostering a culture of giving that transcends generations."

We would like to extend a special thank you to Dale Samuels with Faith Community Church and the Osawatomie Ministerial Association for providing the meeting space and for sharing insights about their experience with the foundation.
