Midwest Cowboy Ministries

Midwest Cowboy Ministries MCM is a Bluegrass and Country Gospel band that puts on Cowboy Church Services and Gospel concerts. formed to spread the Gospel of Christ.

Midwest Gospel Ministries is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization. Midwest Cowboy Ministries is a portion of that ministry. It was founded by Pastor Paul Brown and Karen Hahn-Brown. Pastor Paul and Karen maintain leadership roles for this ministry. We are available to provide worship services and gospel music for churches, festivals, and other venues. We are happy to work with local musicians in yo

ur area. We can give the sermon or you can provide your own sermon. The Cowboy Church sermons are non-denominational messages that are often Cowboy and farming related. We would love to come and share the Gospel with you! In April of 2023 our banjo player had a severe stroke. His wife was our bass player. So we needed to rebuild our band. Just prior to that we learned of a delightful young (18 year old) lady, Lilah, who wanted to learn to play her violin in the bluegrass style. She was quickly added to the band. Then a couple of weeks later we learned of a 21 year old bass player from a neighboring town. He was part of the band as soon as we heard him play and sing just 3 notes of his first song. For our festival this year, we enlisted the help of two seasoned bluegrass musicians from Viroqua, Wisconsin: Gary Herr and Dennis Glick. We founded Cedar Springs Bluegrass Gospel Fest in 2020 with a virtual festival during the first year of the pandemic. This year, 2023, we found our permanent home at River Ranch Camping near Nashua, Iowa. Check out the festival page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057218868938

Our ministry is founded on Jesus Christ, whom we believe:
- spoke our world into existence,
- created us in His image,
- was born of the virgin Mary,
- lived a sinless life so He could be the final sacrifice for our sins,
- was crucified, died and was buried to pay our debt for sin,
- raised from the dead on the third day as the firstborn so that we can also be resurrected from the dead,
- ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father,
- sent His Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us when we surrender control of our lives to Jesus,
- is coming again to defeat satan, raise the dead, judge everyone who ever lived, and take believers to be with Him in paradise. We let our music and our lives speak our message and we openly share our faith in testimony, encouragement and exhortation when the opportunity presents itself. We love to bring encouragement and hope to everyone who will receive it. Romans 10:9 "If you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved."

Join us at our festival this year! Seven bands play inside an Air Conditioned building and the food is served there also. While you are there, you can see the famous Little Brown Church in the Vale which is just 1.5 miles south of the campground. Speaking of the campground, that is really nice too. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057218868938

I woke in the middle of the night and began to praise God. I remembered Revelation 22 "Eden Restored, beginning with Verses 1- 2. "Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. " My brain didn't get any farther because my funny bone took over. I immediately thought of the "Fruit of the Month Club." I had to clamp my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing out loud and waking Paul at 2:30 in the morning! When I looked it up I learned that a new scene about the Fruit of the Month club was released at least once in every season of the show "Everybody Loves Raymond." So enjoy the video from the 1st episode and laugh with me....

My wife's favor TV show. This was the pilot/first episode of Everybody Loves Raymond. This clip got me to laugh out loud and think about me and my dad. Enjoy...
