🚒 WE ARE SO CLOSE — HELP US BREAK GROUND! 🚒

Frontier Shores Fire Department is getting closer to our goal of breaking ground on our new fire station, but we still need the support of our community, local businesses, sponsors, and donors to help us get across the finish line!

This new station will give our volunteer firefighters a permanent facility to house our apparatus and equipment, train our members, and better serve our community when emergencies happen.

🔥 WE NEED SPONSORS & DONORS! 🔥

Every donation matters. Whether it’s $10, $50, $100, materials, services, or a larger sponsorship, every contribution gets us one step closer to breaking ground.

🚒🔥 WHY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS ARE CRITICAL 🔥🚒

Volunteer fire departments are more than fire trucks and flashing lights. In many rural communities, volunteer firefighters ARE the emergency response system.

When the tones drop, volunteers leave their families, jobs, dinners, and beds to respond to structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and calls for mutual aid.

But answering those calls takes more than dedicated firefighters. It takes equipment, fuel, protective gear, training, apparatus maintenance, and community support.

That’s why local businesses and vendors are so important. When a vendor participates in a fire department fundraiser, donates an item, sponsors an event, or simply helps spread the word, they are helping strengthen emergency services for the entire community.

At Frontier Shores Fire Department, we are proud to serve our community as volunteers, and we appreciate every business, vendor, donors who stands behind us.

Volunteer departments need support from thier communities and communities need their volunteer departments.

Saturday while at our department fundraiser we had members from Terlton Community Volunteer Fire Department & Keystone Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bill Dupis come to support event while doing so we were paged out at 2:29pm for a patient having a symptoms of a stroke , as Chief was leaving to respond Captain John Stephens of Terlton Fire who serves as an EMR as well, asked if he could come along with Chief of keystone for help and we said YES !!

Ambulance arrived a few minute prior the helicopter landing

Once we arrived on scene Capt. John Stephens assessed the patient and the patient was showing signs of an active stroke, we updated dispatch but we ran in to something that happens everywhere unfortunately EMS services throughout the county were spread thin out responding to calls and the estimated time of arrival for an ambulance was an hour or more.

Chief Steve made the decision get a life flight landed with the help of keystone fire Chief and Osage County Sheriff's Office we were able to setup a safe landing zone for the helicopter to to land, pack the patient and takeoff , doing this provides the patient a quicker trip to the hospital to undergo the care need and prevent further damage to patient .

Frontier Shores Fire Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Keystone Fire Department, Terlton Fire Department, Osage County Sheriffs Office, and their responding personnel for their assistance on an incident that rapidly escalated and required additional manpower and resources.

Incidents such as this reinforce the importance of a strong mutual-aid system. Fireground conditions can change without warning, and having additional trained personnel, apparatus, and equipment available directly improves operational effectiveness and firefighter safety.

The fire service has no place for ego or pride when requesting additional resources. Calling for help is not a weakness it is sound incident management. Our responsibility is to recognize the needs of the incident, request the appropriate resources early, and work together toward a common objective.

When conditions deteriorate, additional manpower and resources provide additional capability and a greater margin of safety.

Thank you to Keystone Fire and Terlton Fire for answering the call and working alongside our personnel. Your professionalism and assistance are greatly appreciated.
