The public is invited to our Annual Meeting next Sunday afternoon at 2:00. We'll meet in the Mitchell County Conservation Board building for our program and then tours of the new museum will be available for anyone interested. Come and share in our county's history.

There were at least 11 of us from Mitchell County visiting the "100 Years of Caterpillar" in Elkader today. (It is Saturday and Sunday too). Cedar Valley Memories loaned our 1910 Log Hauler for their show and the pictures show the interest in it. Plus, Lori Mark was able to attend and give impromptu explanations of the Log Hauler and the Mitchell County Historical Museum's collection of other engines. Definitely a must see event!

Sad, but we are cancelling the Kiddie Tractor Pull that was scheduled this afternoon at 1:00.

There's plenty to do INSIDE today if the rain bothers you. Check out the Depot and the new Museum. Food trucks available with indoor seating for eating in the Smolik Building. And it's not supposed to be so hot today.
