Hey! Who put an outhouse in front of this address...!? (Not to worry, you'll get your turn - if you haven't already...!)

It's not such a bad prank, as it's all in fun, and a FUNd raiser for the Orwell 250 Celebration, to boot! $25 will keep it OFF your front lawn, and $10 will put it onto someone of your choosing's property!

So... who is going to be YOUR victim?! Call the Orwell Town Clerk's Office to arrange for your discreet "dark of night" delivery. Not to worry, the ladies in the office will NOT share who was your designated target... they can be trusted. (...snicker; snort!)

This is the latest of our museum exhibits - all leading up to the Orwell 250 Celebration - the weekend of August 17 & 18! Come in and checkout some of our award winning displays - featuring artifacts and personal items from Orwell's past.

We also have exhibits on Orwell's Over 200 Years of Local Patriots - from the Revolutionary War to Operation Desert Storm; The Eagle Inn - a once famous stage stop and local landmark; and Women's Fashion On the Eve of the Civil War.

More displays to follow in the coming months: a formal sitting parlor and a turn-of-the-century period kitchen!

Hey Folks - August will be here sooner than you think (along with great summer weather), as will our community's 250th anniversary celebration... and WE NEED YOUR HELP and INPUT!

You know the old saying "Many hands make light work" couldn't be more true - and we surely could use your suggestions and participation... so, please plan on joining us! The next Events Committee meeting will be on Wednesday, January 30th - at the Orwell Town Clerk's office - at 7 PM.

In order to pull-off such a grandiose undertaking and make the planned events a truly happy and momentous occasion for everyone, we need to raise funds to support our endeavors. In short - mark your calendar and bring your appetite on Sunday, December 16th... You'll have no excuse to leave hungry - and we can use your support!
