We are, and will continue to be, Jacob's Hope. Do leave a light on tomorrow in honor of Jacob and in honor of families still searching for loved ones. In addition, please be a light tomorrow. Positive choices make a positive difference. May our words, actions, and choices radiate the hope that we have in making a better world for kids.

Today, March 25th, it's National Tolkien Reading Day -- a great time to highlight the benefits of reading with your child.

The day celebrates J.R.R. Tolkien and encourages readers of all ages to explore his writings, doodles and use their imagination.

What can increased awareness and understanding of ACE's mean for helping those who've experienced childhood trauma?

Better outcomes for these children as they grow into adulthood, the ability to interrupt cycles of abuse and neglect, and the power to create thriving communities.

FamilyWise is proud to participate in the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) interface initiative to increase education in these areas!

Words to live by

Jacob Wetterling was taken from us on this date, October 22nd, in 1989. The pain is fresh even after years have passed.
For the last 11 days, we have asked people to support our mission through our Running HOME for Jacob event. It is a shift to reclaim these October days on the calendar with something happy and healthy.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who makes the choice to honor Jacob’s legacy in a way that celebrated how he lived instead of focusing on how his life ended. Please renew your efforts to live out knowing that acts inspired by these simple traits can connect our hearts in this time of physical distance.
Thank you, Jacob, for reminding us to be kind, joyful and thankful. We miss you. May your legacy continue to provide hope for other families. We are, and will always be, Jacob’s Hope.
