I am often asked how we protect our outside animals in this winter weather.
All of our animals have shelter and all of them have heaters in their water. After that eating is what keeps them warm so we give extra to all of them. Then we load down the shelters with extra bedding and that does the trick. The chickens and horses have heat lamps in their shelters for extra warmth. Mostly the horses are out rolling and frolicking in the snow. They have freedom of choice to shelter if they choose. The ducks are always warm so they actually are still swimming and then shelter if needed.

Got to meet some wonderful teens yesterday at the ranch. Introduced them to all the animals and took time for groom and glam with Sunny and Star. Then we went around exploring the ranch together and learned more about each one of them. We parted with gifts, prayer and hugs 💕. Good times and  that’s a wrap for 2025 season.

To all of you who have been watching us build this new 4 stall barn from the ground up for the past, 18 months have seen how many hands and how much time and energy it has taken. Rory and I made the decision to hire out the rest so we could get a completed roof on before another winter. They also completed the facing panels on each side and hung those massive doors.
We are thrilled to report all structural things are completed on the outside of the barn. In the spring we will paint and landscape. Thank you to everyone who was there along the way helping us get this far. The inside still needs water and electric and the stalls need gates and walls. But we are getting there. I am so thankful to God for taking the picture in my heart and making it a reality. 🥲❤️
