We assist with food, utility disconnection, medical transportation vouchers, and prescriptions. In partnership with Orrville Area United Way, we offer Happy Feet (kid's shoe vouchers) and Sweet Dreams (kid's bedding). Seasonal programs include Back to School supplies, Camp NEOSA, Christmas Food Box, and Angel Tree (gifts for children). Strive 2 Thrive programming is available to help folks become self-sufficient by assisting with employment, barrier removal and resource referrals.

Don't miss out on exciting events happening here tomorrow!
We will be hosting the next Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank Pop-Up Pantry August 12th from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
A photo ID is preferred, but not mandatory. You are welcome to pick up food for neighbors and there are no geographical restrictions. Remember, this does not impact your eligibility for regular monthly food pantry services from The Salvation Army.
Patio 114 Barbeque will be on hand with their food truck providing lunch.
Representatives from Startzman Clinic and Wayne County Job and Family Services will be at our office from 8:30am-10:30am. Be sure to stop in before the Pop-Up Pantry if you need assistance.
Community Action Wayne/Medina will have a table of information about their Headstart program as well!

It's a big day at The Salvation Army Orrville-Maiwurm Service Center! Don't miss all the great programs happening today in our office!

- 8:30-10: Representatives from Startzman Clinic and Jobs and Family Services will be offering services from our office!
- 11-1: The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank Pop-Up Pantry will be in our front parking lot! Anyone who needs additional food assistance can stop by!
- Starting at 11: Anyone who receives food from the Pop-Up Pantry will receive a voucher for a free meal at Patio 114 Barbeque , who will set up their food truck at the Bellstores next door! (While supplies last)

Summer may have only just started, but we are looking ahead to Back to School! If your child is in need of supplies for the 2026-2027 school year, we will be able to provide basic supplies for students from Preschool through 12th grade.

Registration for this program opens next Tuesday, July 7th, and will close on August 3rd. To register, you must be a resident of Orrville, Dalton, Marshallville, Kidron, or North Lawrence. Please bring your Photo ID, proof or residency, proof of income from the previous 30 days, and either the social security cards or birth certificates of everyone in your household.

We are excited to announce that, starting today, our rent assistance program is open! Thanks to grants received from Orrville Area United Way, we are once again able to offer limited rent assistance, providing our community with a critical resource.

While funding lasts, residents of Orrville, Dalton, Marshallville, Kidron, and North Lawrence with a household income at or below 175% of the federal poverty level can apply for assistance at our office, 401 W. High St., Orrville. Recipients must be behind on rent, but not yet have received an eviction notice. We are unable to assist with security deposits.
