The spots in front of Orrville Area United Way's office are always in high demand for the Independence Day parade. While those spots are already 'taken,' you can still join us for Popsicle Palooza. Our volunteers will be distributing popsicles and having a dance party in the street just prior to the parade's start. Come out and join us!

Just a reminder — applications for Orrville Area United Way’s Summer Grant are currently open, but the deadline is approaching. Applications must be submitted by May 31.

Up to $40,000 is available to support impactful programs serving the Dalton, Marshallville, and Orrville communities. Whether you are a current partner agency, former grantee, or a local nonprofit making a difference outside of our annual grant cycle, we encourage you to apply.

Key details:
• Applications are open May 1–31: https://www.orrvilleareaunitedway.org/non-profit-portal
• Applicants will determine their requested funding amount
• Programs must align with one of OAUW’s four impact areas
• Applications will be reviewed by our Citizens Review Committee
• Grant recipients will be notified by early July

Because May 31 falls on a Sunday, we encourage you to submit your application early to allow time for any questions or technical issues that may arise.

A record-breaking 434 volunteers came together for Day of Caring 2026 and completed 40 projects across our communities — all in just ONE day!

From painting and landscaping to organizing, cleaning, building, and serving, this incredible day showed what can happen when people unite to make a difference.

Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, project site, and supporter who helped make this year’s Day of Caring the biggest and best yet. Our community is stronger because of you!
